The Communications and Technology Committee of the Regional Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (RHPC) is in need of additional members.  The committee is currently comprised of just four members:  Robin Davis – Chair (Memorial Hermann), Kent Cavendar (Methodist), Jeff Carico (Memorial Hermann), and Aaron Wasson (SETRAC).  The focus of the committee is to develop and submit recommendations to the SETRAC Director of Preparedness and the RHPC Chair for improving existing or potential technology applications for stakeholders.  All committee members need not be fluent in the regional applications.  There is a need for individuals who:

•  Have good communication skills and are willing to talk with other stakeholders
•  Able to work on a team and make recommendations
•  Are able to commit time (at least 5 hours per week) to a regional technology survey
•  Have an interest in improving the level of preparedness and resiliency of our healthcare   infrastructure

 In accordance with new grant requirements, SETRAC must complete a comprehensive resource survey by September 30, 2013 of ALL hospitals.  The Communications and Technology Committee of the Regional Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (RHPC) can be instrumental in helping to identify potential survey questions for collecting critical information that can help identify both best practices and enhancement opportunities.  This is an extremely critical starting point and you can play an important part in the process.
